Bear – Memorial “Forever Foster”

Bear came to the Sanctuary in 2016. His family left him behind with no history or name and placed him inside our gate shivering. He was skinny, had extensive hair loss and his toenails were so long it made it painful for him to walk. We quickly got Bear the medical care he needed, and he became an HWAH Forever Foster, living with our Assistant Director Lori, her husband John, and their other senior rescue pup, Poppy. They made Bear’s remaining years so special. When his 16-year-old body told them he was tired and it was time to go, John and Lori gave him the gift of peace and freedom from suffering. Bear crossed the Rainbow Bridge in October 2020.
